Dock Foreman

The dock foreman job is a key salaried supervisory position for the Whalers’ Cove Lodge operation. Reports to General Manager.   Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  1. Take charge of all fish processing operations.
  2. Manage self-guided and work boat fleet.
  3. Manage fishing tackle and marine safety equipment inventories.
  4. Support guide boat fleet outfitting.
  5. Manage 8-10 man crew.
  6. Other duties as assigned.

 

Salary negotiable based on experience. 

 

Sous Chef

The Sous Chef is a key salaried position for the Whalers’ Cove Lodge Operation. They will report directly to the Head Chef.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. In charge of morning breakfast services ( served buffet style) as well as some evening dinners
  2. Manage a 5-6 people shift
  3. Assist chef in prep and baking which includes fish/crab cleaning and preparation
  4. In charge of clean up and maintenance of kitchen and dining room
  5. Assist chef in ordering supplies for kitchen as well as other lodge departments
  6. Keep inventory of supplies on hand and maintain quality control for food freshness
  7. Other duties as assigned

 

Salary negotiable based on experience

 

 

Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant is a salaried position for Whalers’ Cove Lodge Operation.  They will report directly to the Office Manager.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  1. In charge of logistic operations, including planning transportation for all guests arriving and departing the lodge via float plane or catamaran
  2. Guest Services desk. Answer phones.  Direct daily communication with all guests.

Daily check in/out of guest

  1. Phone/radio communication with all guests and employees
  2. Maintain email correspondence with customers, mail out marketing packets, and make reservations
  3. Collect and post payments from customers
  4. In charge of gift store, keep inventory of supplies, price products and keep daily cash drawer
  5. Complete Fishing Licenses for incoming guests, keeping a daily log
  6. Work directly with housekeeping to ensure customer satisfaction
  7. Other duties as assigned
